Here it is almost August, but I've got to tell you, it "feels" like Fall!! We have had such wonderful days and evenings! Mid to low 70's in the day and dropping to crisp mid 50's at night. Late yesterday afternoon we were all pulling out a jacket to enjoy the oncoming evening. Last night I slept with my windows open, covered up with a light blanket and woke up to the birds singing outside my window! They must love the cool as well!

My good friend Janet took these pictures of the birds enjoying the feeders on her back deck. So special thanks to Janet for her wonderful photography!

The golfers all walk around with a broad smile and satisfied look on their faces from playing in such magnificent weather and surroundings. So if you want to play some golf....come on up....it is the perfect place to play!!
There are more craft festivals coming, the summer "garden tour" is going strong, the tailgate market has wonderful produce, and the antique fair starts this weekend! It's a great time to be here!!

Wow, this summer is flying by!!! It seemed like I was just watching the azaleas flaming with color, the dogwoods showing off in waves of pink and white, the mountain laurel covering every square foot of mountain side and then....wham...here came the 4th of July weekend!!

Town has been really busy, lots of folks in for the holiday and more things to do than you can possibly fit in! I'll catch you up once they've actually happened! What actually HAS happened is the first Sapphire Arts and Crafts festival. Lots of booths, food to eat, music to listen to and weather that you wish you could bottle and sell, it was so nice!
More soon as the holiday skips along!!!
Wish you were here!!!! And if you are, wonderful!!!!

Summer Of '09

As you can see, it has been quite awhile since I last posted to my blog!! I was ahead of my time back then and now blogging, facebook and twitter are the social things to do. So I'm back to sharing about these wonderful mountains in Western North Carolina.

Alot has happened since I last "posted". You have seen Jas and Syd in the winter highlights. Well, I lost Jas last summer to a sudden illness and now there is Gracie. She is almost a year old now. She has come to the office since she ws 6 1/2 weeks old and is the highlight of the office. Clients, who are now wonderful friends come by to see her and see how she has grown.

Here are a few photos of her past year.
She loves Sydney, is very adventurous, played in the snow, and absolutely adores splashing in the river! But what Golden doesn't!?

Winter Highlights!

The sights and sounds of the Holidays are upon us in Cashiers, North Carolina. We've already had a couple of "dustings"of snow and are hoping for a white Christmas (see some photos of our "golden girls" from a last year snow). Christmas trees have been leaving on the tops of cars for the past three weeks, the annual Christmas parade was a big success again and the ski/tubing/snowboard slopes open on Dec. 16th. Come on up and join us for some Winter fun!!!
